The food was okay, but the service was terrible! They automatically add 20% to every bill and you can tell by their service. I was prepared for it to be slow based on the reviews I read, but not that slow. Plus, our server really didn't seem to care. I had asked for kid friendly recommendations and I ordered those recommendations of sliders and fries. The sliders came out first since the server probably didn't mark them as an entree, so that definitely delayed our food and then when ordering treats at the end the shake came without the fondue. The shake was gone before the fondue. I would have sent it back if my son wasn't so excited about it. So with those delays, dinner for 6 (including 3 kids and one was 2) took over 2 hours. It's an expensive treat and different experience, but not at the expense of such terrible service. I would recommend you consider all the reviews before coming. I would not recommend going here and will not be returning.

I had a family of 7 and no reservations were available for that number so I split up by requesting reservations for 4 and 3. The staff was able to accommodate us to sit all together when we arrived with no fuss, which was great. Donna was our server and she was great too- she had suggestions, was friendly, and attentive. My 11 year old daughter ordered chicken and waffles and didn't realize it would be come with a leg and thigh and that variety. She likes chicken breast. When we mentioned it, a manager came over to check and brought free chicken tenders even though she picked at each piece on her plate! The service was great all around. The food was really good, albeit expensive, especially with a 20% service charge added, but we knew that coming in and planned to enjoy the experience in downtown Detroit. My only real complaint is they did not have paper menus. It's hard when you are trying to look with 3 kids without phones (shocking, I know!) and a grandma that does not have a qr reader. Oh, and the chocolate overload was insane and well worth every penny!

My family has been to another location. This place definitely did not hold up. The heat is broke, so bring a jacket. No silverware. We got plastic forks for our meal. We only got cocktail napkins, no regular napkins. The food was warm at best. They could not substitute very simple requests. And they where out of the gluten free buns that are an option on the menu. Drinks where nice. Appetizers where passable. Main dishes where bordering on disgusting. Lettuce wrap has brown Lettuce. Pasta was watered down. Medium burger was almost raw. The dressing was overpowering.

First off 20% gratuity included, first warning ⚠️. Music was loud, rap, not censored. Waited for a long time for just water. Got a fancy NA drink because you have too, a giant 🥨 and 🍔 (five sliders) to share and it cost over 100 buckaroos. Was it unique yes. Is this business model sustainable? Absolutely not, will not come back. If you are retirement age I would do a hard pass even with family to 📢🔊 loud. Value=zero stars. Did I mention 20% gratuity automatically included? 👎

Let's start with the pros shall we... * the cake/ice-cream dancers were amazing. It was lit and fun to see the different dance routines. *the ice-cream tub and shake was really good. On to the cons: *the bathrooms were not clean, and lacked essential amenities. *the food was not good, cold and or warm. We had to all get new fries. When the new fries came out they were warm. With all that being said, would I go again. My answer is no. It was cute and fun, but the food was a turn off

I just want to start by saying I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! it was my sister’s 16th birthday and it was Sunday it wasn’t really anyone there so service should not have been as terrible as it was ! We didn’t get our drinks until damn near a hour and 30 minutes after ordering! I ordered birria tacos, the server brought the food out and all the food wasn’t on the plate and the rice was hard like it had been sitting uncovered for hours! She had to take my sister and my plate back and we reordered turkey burgers 5/10 ! We didn’t even get the burgers until we were leaving so we never got to eat with the table! Our server I wish I remembered her name she was TERRIBLE the only good part was the birthday dance and the Sunday which is the only reason I gave 2 stars! Let me not forget that the server ended up with a 80 dollar tip off the table thanks to gratuity ! When she really deserved 5 dollars if that ! One person at our table NEVER even got a drink we had reservations at 8 and left close to 11 maybe 10:30 and she NEVER got her drink and our server was no where to be found ! If I could give the food a 0 I would !

The atmosphere and servers we’re nice but I would not go back for food. Everyone with me food is not pictured but the appetizers down to the main course meal was nasty honestly. Definitely not worth the money, this place is expensive and overhyped for what they serve. Only positive thing I can say is that the drinks were good. So if you having a night out and just want to grab a drink this might be the spot for you with the huge selection of drinks but that’s all.

Had an amazing experience today at The Sugar Factory Downtown Detroit! Our server was Nashima!!! On top of great service, amazing ambiance and upbeat music, the food was So Delicious. ($$)prices were slightly Less Expensive than I initially found online… I had the Firecracker Shrimp Stir Fry, My Baby got the Hot Cheetos Burger and My friend got the Turkey Burger. The Fries were a bit plain but they were a good size and a good serving amount! My daughter got the Tie Dye Milkshake! So much joy was all over her face throughout the experience. I had the Cali Calm Goblet it’s Green Apple Flavored and My friend got the Kevin Heart Peach Lemonade Goblet with his featured Tequila! Great place to meet and Eat! And all the photo ops!!! KAWS (Statue “Waiting” by KAWS ) out front of this beautiful building downtown is a great place to get a snap shot (landmarks of Downtown in the D). Plus the glowing Sugar Factory sign. Don’t let me forget to mention the bar, they have a bar, plenty of seating. All drinks were alcoholic and Available NON Alcoholic! Smoking drinks, decorated milkshakes and they sing for Birthday People!!! I loved it !!! And I loved how happy my daughter was!
